Applications:

FD***6 can be used in a variety of applications that involve its reactive properties. It is mainly used as an adhesion promoter in flexographic and gravure printing inks. It offers benefits such as ehanced curing, improved chemical, solvent and water resistance and enhanced heat resistance. Provides improved crack resistance, enhanced stability and compatibility of pigment dispersions and colorants and improved gloss. The items below describe a few of the more salient features 

Catalyst: 
As a catalyst FD***6 titanium acetylacetonate is used in an amount of ca 0.***1 %. FD***6 titanium acetylacetonate is often added as the last ingredient of the reaction components to prevent undesired pre-reactions. Transesterifications run at low temperatures **0~**0 C. By spraying, dipping or brushing of the substrate from solutions and subsequent hydrolysis by moisture also TiO2 layers are formed. 

Primer: 
As primer FD***6 titanium acetylacetonate is applied normally in very low concentrations of ca. 0.1~5 % in an organic solvent such as isopropanol. Heating after application to *0~**0 C for a short time might be of advantage. 

Sol-Gel: 
Total or partial hydrolysis of FD***6 titanium acetylacetonate possibly in combination with other metal alkoxides affords metal oxides for use as binder or coating.
